BJP MPs join Indian-American community in New York for US-India ties

Around 90 members of the Indian-American community joined BJP MP P.P. Chaudhary and his parliamentary delegation for an interactive session in New York. The delegation praised the diaspora’s role in strengthening the US-India relationship and promoting India globally. They also invited the community to be part of India’s ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’ vision.

The delegation, which includes MPs N. K. Premachandran, Nishikant Dubey, Poonamben Maadam, and others, is in New York for the United Nations General Assembly. They met with Jamaica’s Permanent Representative at the UN and discussed key topics, including UN Security Council reforms. The group also engaged with Amandeep Singh Gill, the UN Secretary General’s envoy on technology, to discuss AI governance, data protection, and India’s leadership in digital innovation.
