Egypt Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty meets Modi to strengthen ties
Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi today during his visit to India. Modi praised Egyptian President Sisi for his important role in the Gaza Peace Agreement and noted the growing partnership between India and Egypt. He expressed hope for lasting peace in the region.
The two leaders discussed the progress in their countries’ cooperation in trade, defense, energy, technology, and cultural exchanges. During the meeting, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar highlighted the shared commitment of both nations to the Global South and the strengthening of nations’ independence in global matters. He also praised Egypt’s support in evacuating Indian nationals and for their solidarity following the Pahalgam terrorist attack.
