If you want to type a new line or start a new sentence below the one you are writing in ChatGPT a generative artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot developed by OpenAI, press the Shift key and the Enter key at the same time. This lets you continue typing on a new line without sending your message. If you only press Enter, the message you have typed so far will be sent.
