Maximus by Image-Line

Maximus slays as a Mastering Maximizer and so much more. It crushes it as a Limiter, Compressor, Noise Gate, Expander, Ducker, and De-esser. You can count on Maximus to excel as a final mastering audio plugin and a per-track effect. It applies level maximization like a boss across three frequency bands via compression and/or limiting to enhance and improve your final track.

When you use Maximus sparingly, it raises your track’s volume without introducing any unwanted distortion. It also ensures you can hear the quieter parts more easily, which often get lost. Maximus can increase the bass and sharpen the higher frequencies. It gives selected elements of your mix, like instruments, vocals, or even complete tracks, that professionally mastered ‘presence’ you’ve been looking for.

Overview of Maximus by Image-Line

The audio plugin has four ways to control sound levels. Three work on the separate frequency bands and one on the whole sound. Users can draw their curves to shape how the sound changes. These curves can make the sound softer or louder or create special effects.

Users can turn any part of the system on or off, making it easy to use for many different tasks. Each part can add two types of warmth to the sound, and users can also control how much of this effect they want.
The program lets users blend sounds from the different frequency bands with the main sound. This creates mixing effects that many sound engineers like. Each of the four parts also lets users control how wide the sound feels, from mono to stereo.
