8.8 million STR recipients to get Phase Four payments early

The Finance Ministry announced that 8.8 million Rahmah Cash Contribution (STR) recipients will receive their final phase payments for this year starting tomorrow. The Phase Four payments, originally scheduled for mid-November, have been brought forward due to the Deepavali celebrations on October 20.

For this phase, the government has allocated RM2 billion, with payments of up to RM700, depending on the category. Additionally, 200,000 new applicants have been approved for Phase Four payments, which will begin on November 13.

The number of STR recipients has increased by 500,000, now totaling 8.8 million, following the government’s decision to accept new applications and appeals year-round. Applications for STR and SARA will remain open throughout 2026. Current recipients need not worry, as their data will be automatically integrated for eligibility checks.
