Borisov blames PP-DB for political deadlock, warns of February elections
Boyko Borisov, leader of GERB, stated that his party doesn’t want elections and has acted responsibly by forming a government. He mentioned that the government formation process has become more complicated each time, with the most difficult being the current assembly. He recalled how, initially, he worked with PP and DB, and how Kiril Petkov became prime minister instead of him.
Borisov also shared his thoughts on the MRF and Delyan Peevski, mentioning a past conversation with Kiril Petkov and Peevski about Zelensky. He then criticized the media for dropping topics like the “mafia” and “scum” after a storm of controversy, calling it an “active measure.”
He expressed hope that PP and DB would support the government on certain issues to ensure a majority. He also mentioned that a meeting with “New Beginning” was needed and that Peevski should be spoken to directly. Borisov hinted that if PP-DB doesn’t support the government, elections might happen in February.
