Brady Ellison praises Indian archers’ rise in APL

Brady Ellison, a five-time Olympic medallist, is full of praise for Indian archers competing in the Archery Premier League (APL), the world’s first professional archery league. Representing the Chola Chiefs, Ellison was impressed by India’s ability to host the APL and said the league’s challenging format is pushing archers worldwide, including himself.

Ellison, who has been ranked No. 1 globally multiple times, called the APL the toughest tournament he’s ever faced. He believes the league is more than just a platform to improve Indian archery; it’s inspiring kids globally and could become as prestigious as the Olympic Games.

He also commended the rise of Indian archers, especially in the compound category, noting their growing dominance. He pointed out that Indian recurve archers are also making their mark, with many reaching World Cup finals and top global rankings, signaling India’s potential for Olympic success.
