Daniel Etim-Effiong debuts as director with The Herd

Nollywood actor Daniel Etim-Effiong is making his directorial debut with The Herd, set for a nationwide release on October 17, 2025. The film is co-produced by FilmOne Studios, ToriTori Films, Serendipity HHC, and Airscape.

Ahead of its release, the film was introduced through industry events, including an exclusive dinner hosted by Filmhouse Group, That Good Media, and NIFS, followed by a Lagos premiere attended by Nollywood stars like Adesua Etomi-Wellington and Linda Ejiofor-Suleiman.

Kene Okwuosa, CEO of Filmhouse Group, praised the team and reaffirmed the company’s support for Nigerian filmmakers. Etim-Effiong expressed his gratitude for the cast, crew, and partners, calling The Herd a story close to his heart.

The film opens in cinemas nationwide on October 17, 2025, distributed by FilmOne Entertainment.
