Egypt pitches Suez Canal zone to Indian firms

Egypt wants Indian companies to set up an industrial zone near the Suez Canal. The Egyptian government offers support and incentives for businesses. They already have zones for China and Russia and want one for India. Egypt’s market has many people, over 120 million, including refugees.

The Suez Canal region is an important trade route between Europe, Africa, and Asia. Egypt is encouraging Indian companies to invest in areas like chemicals, digital tech, and renewable energy. They see a chance to make green ammonia and hydrogen for Europe’s needs. Egypt is ready to help India join new projects.

Egypt is also a central part of trade between East and West. It is interested in being a part of big projects linking Europe, Asia, and the Gulf. However, recent conflicts have slowed plans to develop the area. The government hopes for peace to help these projects grow.
