Hwange revives as Zimbabwe’s mining hub

Hwange, a mining town, is growing again. It was built over 100 years ago to supply coal for trains. For years, the town thrived because of coal. But when problems like sanctions hit, it became a struggling town.

Things have changed since the Second Republic. New power stations and coal mines are boosting the economy. Many new houses, shops, and roads are being built. These changes are helping the town grow, but there are also challenges, like more demand for water and sewer services.

Despite some problems, Hwange is booming with new jobs, homes, and businesses. The town is bouncing back stronger than before.
