India Post launches medicine delivery for ex-servicemen

The Department of Posts (DoP) has started a new service to deliver medicine to ex-servicemen. This service, done with the Department of Ex-servicemen (DESW), helps get medicines not found at ECHS polyclinics.

Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs) will package the medicines at these clinics, and India Post will deliver them. The goal is to get medicines to ex-servicemen quickly and safely, no matter where they live.

The service began in Delhi and grew to Haryana and Uttar Pradesh after good results. Starting on October 17, it will be available across India.

India Post is also working on better, more eco-friendly packaging to improve postal services.
