India promotes Ayush-based innovation at Arctic Circle Assembly 2025
India has reaffirmed its commitment to integrating Ayush-based innovation into global health at the Arctic Circle Assembly 2025. The Indian delegation, led by Prof. Rabinarayan Acharya and Dr. Srinivas Rao Chinta, participated in the assembly in Reykjavík, Iceland.
In the session titled “The Role and Importance of the Global South in the Arctic,” Acharya highlighted the relevance of traditional medicine in global health and discussed Ayush interventions for wellness in extreme ecosystems like the Arctic.
Acharya also proposed clinical trials and a joint research consortium under India’s Arctic policy to enhance collaboration between traditional medicine and Arctic research. The event gathered over 2,000 participants to discuss Arctic challenges and opportunities.
