Keanu Reeves almost changed his name to Chuck Spadina in Hollywood
Keanu Reeves shared that when he first arrived in Hollywood, his manager suggested changing his name, believing it might help his career. Reflecting on the moment during his appearance on the New Heights podcast, Reeves recalled how his manager proposed the idea when he was 20. He even considered changing his name to “Chuck Spadina” but ultimately rejected the idea.
Reeves also tried being credited as “KC Reeves” but found it didn’t feel right. After some time, he decided to stick with his original name, a decision he now looks back on as a defining Hollywood moment.
In a similar vein, Leonardo DiCaprio also shared on the same podcast that he was once told his name was “too ethnic” for Hollywood. His agent even suggested he use “Lenny Williams” instead, but DiCaprio’s father quickly dismissed the idea.
