Kievo eyes UCL test vs Union Saint-Gilloise

Inter Milan manager Cristian Kievo addressed reporters ahead of his team’s Champions League group stage match against Union Saint-Gilloise on Tuesday evening. The Italian coach emphasized his squad’s depth, and he rejected the notion of designated starters versus reserves when questioned about potentially fielding young forwards Ang-Yuan Bony or Francesco Pio Esposito from the opening whistle.

Kievo provided injury updates on key attackers Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram. Martinez has recovered from the illness he suffered after the Roma fixture, but Thuram remains unavailable for several days, and he likely will miss the Napoli match on Saturday.

The manager praised Saint-Gilloise’s aggressive pressing style, and he noted their strong domestic form after securing three points in European competition. Kievo stressed Inter’s commitment across all competitions while acknowledging the prestige of last season’s Champions League final appearance.
