Kurdish language added to Meta as Ali Jaf wins digital recognition for Kurdistan

A cybersecurity expert from the Kurdistan Region successfully convinced Meta to add Kurdish language support to its user contact center after more than a year of negotiations. Ali Jaf reported that Meta employees consistently referred to Kurdistan as the country and the people of President Barzani whenever he mentioned the region. The addition allows millions of Kurdish speakers to communicate with the social media giant in their native language when reporting issues or seeking assistance. Jaf previously hacked and destroyed multiple ISIS websites that threatened the Kurdistan Region and has authored five books on cyber threats to educate citizens about online dangers.
