Mayor Eric Adams hosts Diwali celebration at Gracie Mansion

New York City Mayor Eric Adams hosted a Diwali celebration at his official residence, Gracie Mansion, honoring the Indian community for their cultural and economic contributions. Deputy Consul General Vishal Jayeshbhai Harsh, representing the Consulate General of India, extended festive wishes and emphasized Diwali’s message of light, hope, and joy.

In Florida, the Indian Consul (Education) participated in the first-ever Diwali event at the Florida Capitol in Tallahassee, joined by state officials and members of the Indian diaspora. New York Governor Kathy Hochul also celebrated Diwali with the community at the Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Flushing.

Meanwhile, in Houston, Indian Consul General D.C. Manjunath joined Mayor John Whitmire for a Diwali celebration at City Hall, which featured classical dance and reflected the shared values of India and the US.
