Mutsvangwa and Tagwirei embrace stirs Zanu PF loyalty shift rumors
A photo showing Zanu-PF spokesperson Christopher Mutsvangwa and businessman Kudakwashe Tagwirei embracing at the party’s conference in Mutare has sparked speculation about changing political alliances. Mutsvangwa, who once criticized Tagwirei, now praises him as a “young visionary” helping Zimbabwe’s economy.
This shift in Mutsvangwa’s stance follows a report by Vice President Chiwenga, accusing Tagwirei and others of controlling Zanu-PF. Mutsvangwa rejected corruption claims and defended business figures, arguing they are key to the economy.
Mutsvangwa’s new support for Tagwirei contrasts with his earlier criticism and highlights deepening divisions within Zanu-PF. Analysts suggest Mutsvangwa may be aligning with business-linked factions as part of his own political plans.
