R Madhavan unveils first look in G.D.N. biopic

R. Madhavan will portray engineer Gopalaswamy Doraiswamy Naidu in the biographical film G.D.N., with producers releasing the initial teaser on Sunday. The preview shows Madhavan wearing protective welding equipment before removing his shield, revealing an aged appearance with eyeglasses. Director Krishnakumar Ramakumar helms the production from Varghese Moolan Pictures and Tricolour Films.

Naidu earned recognition as a self-taught inventor from Coimbatore who created India’s first domestic electric motor. His contributions extended to developing fuel engines, automated ticketing systems and farming machinery. The cast features Priyamani, Jayaram and Yogi Babu with musical arrangements by Govind Vasantha.

Madhavan recently posted photographs from filming that showed him clean-shaven while working with the production team. His upcoming projects also include De De Pyaar De 2, starring Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh.
