Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw highlights India’s railway progress under Modi

Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw proudly boasted about India’s railway transformation, highlighting the staggering progress made in just 11 years under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. Speaking at the International Railway Equipment Exhibition in New Delhi, Vaishnaw shared that 35,000 km of new tracks have been laid, 46,000 km electrified, and 40,000 new coaches manufactured.

He also lauded the rapid progress on India’s first bullet train project, with 325 km already completed, and the growing popularity of services like Vande Bharat, Amrit Bharat, and Namo Bharat trains. Vaishnaw called for a global-scale railway exhibition, challenging India to surpass Germany’s InnoTrans. The message was clear: India’s railways are on a fast track to modernity!
