Ruling coalition ignores doctors as protests grow across EU

Vasil Pandov, a PP-DB MP, criticized the ruling party for ignoring medical specialists. He said protests were happening in cities like Sofia and Plovdiv, but the government continues to focus on power distribution instead of addressing people’s needs. He called this a government focused only on consumption, not on doing things for the people.

Pandov explained that despite requests, the healthcare committee did not meet to discuss the salaries of doctors and nurses. The committee was canceled because some deputies refused to show up for work. He hopes the chairman of the National Assembly will call a meeting next week.

Asen Vassilev also condemned the government’s behavior, stating they’ve ignored young doctors and nurses for five months. He said the government’s tactic is to delay action until after the budget is submitted, without increasing salaries for medical staff.
