Sterling & Wilson posts Rs 473 crore loss in Q2 FY26

Sterling & Wilson Renewable Energy Limited reported disappointing results for the second quarter of FY26, posting a net loss of Rs 473 crore compared to a net profit of Rs 7 crore in Q2 FY25. Despite this, the company saw a 70% increase in revenue, reaching Rs 1,748 crore.

However, its earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) dropped by 79%, falling to Rs 3.7 crore, and the EBITDA margin decreased from 1.7% last year to just 0.2%.

Shares of the company fell sharply, dropping by 7.1% to Rs 225.83, reflecting a 51% decline in its year-to-date performance. Sterling & Wilson specializes in solar EPC and O&M services across 28 countries.
