Zito confident Kotoko can overturn Wydad deficit in Morocco

Asante Kotoko manager Karim Zito believes his squad can erase a one-goal disadvantage against Wydad Athletic Club when the teams meet for the return leg in Morocco. The Porcupine Warriors lost 1-0 at Accra Sports Stadium after Joseph Bakasu scored in the 47th minute to give the visitors an advantage heading into the second match. Zito told reporters the situation presents difficulties but remains achievable for his players.

The coach asked supporters to remain patient while his team prepares for the weekend fixture in North Africa. Kotoko defeated Kwara United 1-0 away before advancing 5-3 on aggregate in the CAF Confederation Cup first preliminary round. Zito said football creates challenging circumstances that teams can overcome with proper preparation.
