140 Myanmar workers arrive in South Korea in November
The Myanmar Embassy in Seoul announced that 140 workers from Myanmar arrived in South Korea during early November under arrangements made by the Public Overseas Employment Agency. Ten returning workers landed on November 4 via Korean Air, while 130 additional workers, including 126 manufacturing employees and four agricultural laborers, touched down at Incheon International Airport the following day aboard Myanmar National Airlines.
Embassy officials, including the labor attaché and ambassador, met the arriving workers to guide employment regulations and workplace conduct. The diplomatic mission emphasized its commitment to ensuring that Myanmar nationals receive full protection of their employment rights under bilateral agreements between the two nations.
This deployment followed the departure of approximately 200 Myanmar workers in late October, who traveled to South Korea in two separate groups on October 28 and 29 through the same employment program.
