AIMIM’s Akhtarul Iman slams Yogi Adityanath over communal tactics

AIMIM Bihar state president Akhtarul Iman on Saturday criticized Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, accusing the BJP of attempting to consolidate communal votes by targeting Muslims. Iman alleged that lawlessness in Uttar Pradesh had reached its peak and that the state government was ignoring court orders, particularly the Supreme Court’s directive on bulldozers.

Iman specifically targeted CM Adityanath for selectively targeting Muslim leaders, including religious figure Tauqeer Raza, who he said was being targeted for his love of Prophet Muhammad. He argued that this was part of an effort to deprive Muslims of their fundamental rights.

AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi also responded to the ongoing controversy in Maharashtra, blaming the BJP for worsening the situation for political gain. Owaisi questioned why expressions of love for Prophet Muhammad were being misconstrued as hate, emphasizing that political parties should not control people’s freedom of expression.
