Al-Ahli, Al-Shabab share points in Jeddah draw

Al-Ahli and Al-Shabab played to a 1-1 draw on Friday night at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah. Ivan Toney gave Al-Ahli the lead with a penalty kick in the 14th minute. Al-Ahli played better in the first half, with Riyad Mahrez and Yacine Adli controlling the ball, but Al-Shabab stopped their attacks. In the 87th minute, Matteo Dam’s of Al-Ahli accidentally scored an own goal, tying the game. Both teams had chances to win, but the match ended in a draw. Al-Ahli now has 11 points, and Al-Shabab has 5 points.
