Milan set to extend Luka Modric’s contract for another year
Milan is working on extending the contract of Croatian midfielder Luka Modric for another season after his impressive performances since joining the team this season. Modric, who joined Milan on a free transfer from Real Madrid last summer, has played 13 matches, scoring one goal and providing one assist, greatly improving the midfield.
According to journalist Ikram Konor, Milan management has begun the process to extend Modric’s contract for an additional year, keeping him at the club until the end of next season. Modric, 40, has been a key figure in the midfield, and Milan intends to activate the option to extend his current one-year contract.
Throughout his career, Modric has played 900 matches, scoring 97 goals and providing 141 assists, winning numerous titles, including six UEFA Champions League titles with Real Madrid, four La Liga titles, and the Ballon d’Or in 2018. He also won several domestic and international trophies with Dinamo Zagreb and Madrid.
