Alyssa Healy wins toss, bowls first against India in Women’s ODI World Cup

Australia captain Alyssa Healy won the toss and opted to bowl first against India in the crucial Match 13 of the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup at ACA-VDCA Stadium on Sunday. The Aussies made one change, bringing in left-arm spinner Sophie Molineux for Georgia Wareham, likely to target India’s vulnerability against left-arm spin.

India, coming off a loss to South Africa, stuck with the same squad. Healy explained her decision, citing the dew factor and conditions favoring bowlers in the second innings. “We’ve seen dew in training, and hopefully, it’ll slide on the bat,” she said.

India captain Harmanpreet Kaur had no issue with batting first, feeling the pitch was better than the one they faced against South Africa. With both teams having a closely contested history, this match promises to be another thrilling encounter.
