Astana Negeri Sarawak denies viral TikTok, Facebook posts misusing official emblem

Astana Negeri Sarawak has denied the authenticity of two viral posts on TikTok and Facebook that misused the official name, image, and emblem of the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Tun Pehin Sri Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar. The statement, shared on the official Facebook page of Tun Pehin Sri Haji Wan Junaidi, revealed that a TikTok account under the name Datuk Abdul Zulaiman had uploaded a doctored video using AI, which falsely depicted Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi offering financial help.

Additionally, a Facebook account named Matthew Rudy misused the official Astana logo and shared suspicious content. Astana clarified that unauthorized use of its name, images, or logos is a serious offence that could mislead the public. The public was advised not to engage with or share content from these accounts and to verify the authenticity of information before sharing it.
