Ayodhya to host grandest Deepotsav with record-breaking aarti

Ayodhya is preparing for the grandest edition of Deepotsav 2025, set to be a defining moment in India’s cultural and spiritual history. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is leading the effort to make this year’s festival a symbol of devotion, heritage, and national unity. The city will shine with millions of lamps along the sacred Saryu River, coordinated by local authorities, cultural groups, and Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University.

Thousands of volunteers and students, guided by Vice-Chancellor Colonel Dr Bijendra Singh, have been working tirelessly at the ghats. The event’s aarti, set for October 19, will aim to break previous records, with 200 participants at each of the 11 zones. The Deepotsav will not only illuminate the city but also elevate Ayodhya’s spiritual and cultural identity.
