Nirmal Minda takes over as ASSOCHAM president

Nirmal Kumar Minda, Executive Chairman of Uno Minda Group, has been appointed President of the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM), while Amitabh Chaudhry, MD and CEO of Axis Bank, will serve as the new Senior Vice-President. These appointments are pending approval from the Reserve Bank of India.

Minda, a leader in the auto component industry, succeeds Sanjay Nayar. He is known for his innovation and customer-first approach, having earned several awards, including EY Entrepreneur of the Year and the Haryana Ratna Award. Minda expressed pride in his new role and plans to strengthen ASSOCHAM’s work.

Chaudhry, with 38 years of experience, emphasized ASSOCHAM’s role in supporting industry and connecting it with the government for nation-building.
