Bangladesh elects to bat first against Australia in Women’s World Cup

Bangladesh won the toss and chose to bat first against Australia in the Women’s World Cup match at Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium. Both teams made two changes to their line-ups. Bangladesh hoped to get their second win while Australia looked to stay unbeaten.

Bangladesh captain Nigar Sultana said they wanted to bat first and put runs on the board, noting they had been short of runs in the last match. Australia’s captain Alyssa Healy was excited to see Darcie Brown play and mentioned the nice weather and great crowd at the venue.

Australia beat India in a big run chase last time, while Bangladesh lost to South Africa.
