Borisov says Lukoil manager to be revealed after veto process
GERB leader Boyko Borisov announced that a special manager for the Lukoil refinery will be named after a veto is overcome and a decree is issued. He described the candidate as an experienced individual who is not a former minister and has no connection to Peevski, adding that the choice has his support and that of the other majority parties.
Regarding state administration bonuses, Borisov recalled that he previously advocated for their return during his tenure as prime minister. He suggested that potentially limiting them now could be a valuable topic for public debate and cross-party discussion.
On the subject of Sofia’s parking zone price increases, Borisov distanced himself and his party from the mayor. He stated that GERB supported the measures only because the mayor was elected by the city’s citizens, emphasizing that he did not wish for any political fallout to affect his party.
