Bozhankov criticizes Borisov, Radev and ruling majority

PP-DB lawmaker Yavor Bozhankov criticized Boyko Borisov, the governing coalition, and President Rumen Radev in a bTV interview on Sunday. Borisov’s political restructuring collapsed into rotating the speaker position, while ministries operated as concessions without accountability for their control or recipients. The GERB leader never pursued genuine partnership discussions beyond established networks and lost ground in urban areas following the Pazardzhik election results, which signal broader erosion patterns.

The current administration faces institutional dysfunction so severe that citizens cannot identify who serves as prime minister, Bozhankov said. His coalition refuses to collaborate with MRF-New Beginning and maintains its separation from Vazrazhdane. The majority enabled Radev to portray himself as a victim despite deploying security convoys around civilian vehicles, though Bozhankov identified him as Bulgaria’s most pro-Russian politician in 10 years. The country risks destabilization exceeding Romanian patterns through anti-establishment sentiment rather than pro-Russian movements if the coalition completes its term.
