CBFC clears Baahubali – The Epic for release with U-A certificate
The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has granted S S Rajamouli’s Baahubali – The Epic a U/A certificate for release. The film, which combines both parts of the Baahubali franchise, has generated immense interest among fans and movie enthusiasts. The makers announced the certification on X, saying, “Certified U/A. 3 Hours 44 Minutes of Sheer Epicness. Jai Maahishmathi! #BaahubaliTheEpic #BaahubaliTheEpicOn31stOct.”
Producer Shobu Yarlagadda thanked Rajamouli and his team for their hard work in the post-production process, describing editing as one of the most challenging tasks. He praised the team for treating the re-release as a new film, aiming to provide the best experience for the audience.
Baahubali – The Epic marks the 10th anniversary of the franchise, with both films being re-released together on October 31. The first film, Baahubali: The Beginning, was released in 2015 and became a massive blockbuster. The sequel, Baahubali 2, released in 2017, grossed over ₹1800 crore worldwide, making it the highest-grossing Indian film and winning multiple prestigious awards.
