Manoj Bajpayee slams RJD for using doctored campaign video
The battle for Bihar’s upcoming assembly elections is heating up, with actor Manoj Bajpayee recently at the center of controversy. A doctored campaign video, created by the IT wing of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), used his image without consent. The four-time National Award-winning actor condemned the unethical use of his likeness for electoral gain.
Tejashwi Yadav, the RJD leader, shared the edited video on X, which was later removed. Manoj Bajpayee clarified that he had no political affiliation and that the video was a fake edit of an ad he did for Prime Video. He urged the public to stop sharing misleading content.
As Bihar’s electoral fight intensifies, new figures are entering the scene. Tejashwi Yadav recently welcomed Khesari Lal Yadav and his wife into RJD, marking his crossover from Bhojpuri cinema to politics. Meanwhile, actor-politician Pawan Singh, who returned to the NDA fold, faced a public scandal after his wife accused him of harassment and adultery, which he denied.
The Bihar elections, covering 243 seats, will be held in two phases: November 6 and November 11, 2025. Results will be declared on November 14, 2025, on Jawaharlal Nehru’s birth anniversary.
