Charambas mark 30 years with fan-picked Harare gospel show
Zimbabwean gospel artists Pastor Charles Charamba and Mai Olivia Charamba marked three decades in music with a performance of 30 songs chosen by fans through social media platforms. The celebration took place on the weekend in Harare, where capacity crowds gathered to honor the duo’s career spanning from 1995 to 2025. Their daughter Shalom Charamba organized the event, while sister Eternity Charamba opened the show with performances that demonstrated the family’s musical legacy.
The concert featured appearances from gospel musicians Janet Manyowa, Minister Benny Hadassah Muzanamombe, and Pastor Tinashe Murigo. Voices of Triumph provided musical interludes between performances. The Charambas released three albums this year, containing 30 total songs, to commemorate the milestone anniversary. Fans sang along to classics such as Machira Chete and Nyika Zimbabwe as the couple performed their fan-selected repertoire.
