Egypt urges stronger counterterrorism ties with India
Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty talked about how Egypt ended terrorism in his country. He said Egypt used a broad approach, focusing on security, cutting funds, and fighting extremist ideas through religious groups. He shared this with India and said both countries have a lot of potential to work together on stopping terrorism.
Abdelatty also criticized some Western countries for protecting groups like the Muslim Brotherhood. He explained that terrorism can’t be fought just by force; social and economic changes are needed too. He praised Al-Azhar University for its role in educating people and helping stop extremist ideas. The university helps young people around the world understand the true meaning of jihad.
