Germany backs India’s Viksit Bharat 2047 vision at NDTV summit
German Ambassador to India, Philipp Ackermann, praised the strong ties between India and Germany, highlighting their shared efforts to strengthen the bilateral relationship. Speaking to IANS at the NDTV World Summit, he acknowledged that while the relationship is well-developed, there is still significant potential for growth, and both nations are working together to promote it further.
Ackermann expressed Germany’s support for India’s ambitious Viksit Bharat 2047 vision, aiming for a developed India by its centenary of independence. He called it a “good vision” and promised Germany’s assistance to help India achieve its goal.
The German envoy also attended the summit, noting its significance in the Delhi media landscape. Earlier, German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul met with Prime Minister Modi and External Affairs Minister Jaishankar, discussing strategic partnerships in security, trade, and technology, as well as multilateral cooperation on global issues like Ukraine and the Middle East.
