Anil Agarwal says world can’t progress without India’s role
Vedanta Group Founder and Chairman Anil Agarwal emphasized India’s global importance at the NDTV World Summit 2025, stating that nothing can happen today without India’s involvement. He highlighted India’s potential in mining and natural resources, stressing the importance of producing its own resources like gas, copper, and silver. Agarwal shared that Vedanta currently meets half of India’s silver needs and urged larger companies to unite for India’s progress.
He also expressed optimism about India’s youth, noting the growing opportunities for them. Agarwal mentioned India’s vast reserves of gold and diamonds, calling them the best in the world. Reflecting on his journey, he shared his humble beginnings, recalling how he came from a small town with big dreams.
