Ghana, Nokia deepen partnership for 5G and digital infrastructure growth
Ghana’s Minister for Communication, Hon. Samuel Nartey George, just doubled down on the country’s digital transformation plans during a high-powered meeting with Nokia in Accra. After earlier talks at the Mobile World Congress, the focus was on ramping up digital infrastructure, 5G readiness, and innovation-driven growth. George praised Nokia’s tech leadership, calling the company a trusted partner for all major network operators in Ghana.
The meeting explored big moves in 5G, fibre-to-the-home, data centers, and digital safety systems. Nokia’s Country Manager, Marco Rebecchi, pointed to their long-term commitment to Ghana, from the Eastern Corridor Fibre Network to the continent’s largest LTE rollout. Both sides are eager to deepen collaboration, especially on rural connectivity and sustainable infrastructure, with an eye on future partnerships.
