Hamas returns four bodies, but one not of hostages
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Wednesday that one of the four bodies returned by Hamas did not belong to any hostages. The bodies were sent to the National Centre of Forensic Medicine in Tel Aviv for identification, and it was later found that the fourth body did not match any of the hostages. The IDF stated that Hamas is required to make efforts to return all deceased hostages. The other three bodies were identified as Staff Sgt. Tamir Nimrodi, Uriel Baruch, and Eitan Levy.
Hamas is still holding 21 bodies of dead hostages, with seven returned in the last two days. Meanwhile, reports have surfaced of Hamas conducting mass public executions in Gaza, allegedly of men labeled as “criminals and collaborators with Israel,” following clashes with rival Palestinian groups.
