How did Chef 187 get into music?

Chef 187, also known as Kondwani Kaira, developed a passion for music at a young age, inspired by his successful elder brother Macky 2 (i.e., Mulaza Kaira). Although he first showed interest in music at just 5 years old, Chef 187 did not seriously consider a career in music until 2003. He recorded his first song in 2005 and officially launched his professional music career in 2011 under the label of his big brother’s company, Alpha Entertainments Music.

Throughout his career, Chef 187 has experienced both successes and challenges. He has released multiple albums and received recognition for his work, including awards like the Zambia Music Awards 2015 Mainstream Album Award and the 2015 Best Hip Hop Album Award for “Heart of a Lion.” Chef 187 has also collaborated with other talented artists, such as Sampa the Great. Additionally, he has served as a former ambassador for Infinix and Proflight in the Copperbelt Province.
