Jamaat leader urges youth to follow Qur’an, Sunnah

Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, urged the youth to lead the effort in incorporating the teachings of the Qur’an and Sunnah into all areas of life. Speaking at a street rally in Mirpur-13, Dhaka, he emphasized that despite Bangladesh’s Muslim majority, the country has drifted from Islamic values.

He criticized the moral and social decline in society, attributing it to the abandonment of Allah’s commands. Dr. Rahman argued that true peace and justice can only be achieved by following the Qur’an and Sunnah in personal, social, and national life.

He concluded by citing the example of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), who dedicated his life to establishing divine laws, and stated that the goal should be to create governance based on the Qur’an and Sunnah.
