Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw hits back at Lad over Bengaluru’s road and garbage issues
Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw responded to Karnataka Labour Minister Santhosh Lad’s remarks, stating she only wants action on garbage clearance and road repairs in Bengaluru. She said the Greater Bengaluru Authority should be held accountable for poor work, urging the government and citizens to work together. She also blamed past governments for not acting in time and said the current government can fix the city’s infrastructure issues.
Minister Lad had questioned why Mazumdar-Shaw doesn’t speak about GST, suggesting she fears criticizing the Union government. Minister Priyank Kharge added that she should criticize other states like Maharashtra or Uttar Pradesh to see the consequences. Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar emphasized Bengaluru needs collective effort, not constant criticism. Mazumdar-Shaw agreed, saying urgent and quality action is needed.
