Kirti Vardhan Singh meets Uganda’s Museveni

Kirti Vardhan Singh, the Union Minister of State for External Affairs, met with Uganda’s President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni on Thursday. They talked about ways to strengthen the long-standing partnership between India and Uganda. Singh is leading India’s delegation at the 19th Mid-Term Ministerial of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) in Uganda. After the meeting, Singh shared on X that he conveyed greetings from Prime Minister Modi to President Museveni and valued his insights on improving ties between the two nations.

Singh also spoke about India’s support for a peaceful West Asia and reaffirmed its position on a two-State solution. He met with officials from Mali and Somalia to discuss enhancing cooperation with both countries. The NAM summit, under Uganda’s chairmanship, focuses on global cooperation.
