Kirti Vardhan Singh praises Indian diaspora in Uganda as bridge of friendship

Union Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh met with the Indian community in Uganda on Friday, praising their hard work, dedication, and strong ties to India. He described them as a “living bridge” of friendship between the two countries.

Singh also held meetings with foreign ministers from Venezuela and Belarus during the 19th Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Mid-term Ministerial in Kampala. Earlier, he participated in Prime Minister Modi’s ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ initiative by planting a sapling at the Shree Swaminarayan Temple Complex in Kampala, promoting environmental preservation.

On the sidelines of NAM, Singh also discussed environmental conservation with Uganda’s Minister of State for Environment and reviewed bilateral cooperation with Mozambique’s Foreign Minister, focusing on agriculture, IT, and capacity building.
