Konstantinov says MRF-New Beginning key to GERB’s survival, warns of cabinet refresh
Prof. Mihail Konstantinov, a mathematician, discussed the political situation in Bulgaria, stating that the entry of MRF-New Beginning into the government is not the only option for the cabinet. He noted that while GERB’s results in Pazardzhik showed a small decline (from 4 to 3 councilors), MRF-New Beginning has emerged as a new player with 8 councilors.
Konstantinov also commented on the current stance of “Continuing the Change-Democratic Bulgaria,” suggesting that their position of playing “offended” is costing them, and that their nervousness is due to not adapting to the political landscape. He pointed out that MRF-New Beginning is the only group supporting the government and stressed that the cabinet needs a refresh, as not all departments are functioning well. He speculated that early elections, if they happen, would likely occur after the presidential elections.
Finally, he addressed President Rumen Radev, defending his constitutional rights and questioning why his administration needs official cars, highlighting an incident where a motorcade in Varna included seven cars.
