Krushna reveals story behind his name

Comedian Krushna Abhishek explained his name change to Amitabh Bachchan during Friday’s episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 17. His parents originally called him Abhishek after the actor’s son because they admired the family. Public relations advisers recommended a different stage name when he started his film career, since Abhishek Bachchan had already established fame. His father selected Krushna because of the family’s devotion to Krishna.

Sunil Grover joined Abhishek on the quiz program broadcast on Sony Entertainment Television. Abhishek posted photographs from the taping and said he felt honored to appear with the veteran performer. The comedian wished Bachchan a happy birthday last week and called him a lifelong inspiration. Bachchan recently shared a family portrait featuring multiple generations.
