Lagos AG warns National Assembly on unconstitutional gaming bill

Lawal Pedro, the Attorney General of Lagos State, warned the National Assembly against the proposed Central Gaming Bill. He said it goes against the Constitution and violates a Supreme Court ruling. Pedro explained that the Supreme Court had already decided that gaming and betting are state matters, not federal. He urged the Senate to reject the bill, stating that passing it would harm Nigeria’s federal system and the rule of law.
