APC-controlled states to hit 30 by 2026, says minister

Mohammed Idris, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, says Nigeria will have 30 APC-controlled states by 2026. He mentioned that many opposition governors want to join the ruling party. Idris spoke on Wednesday at a meeting for APC commissioners in Maiduguri, Borno State. He said the increase in defections is because of President Tinubu’s policies, which have helped the economy and stabilized the naira.
